⚖️ A Montgomery County judge handed down a serious sentence this week for the family of Billy Fisher. Timothy Sisco, 59, was sentenced to 50 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after pleading guilty to murder before Judge Phil Grant on May 28. Fisher was working on a vehicle in his front yard at a New Caney trailer park in May 2025 when Sisco approached and opened fire. He was unarmed.

Surveillance footage secured by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office captured the events, and no justification was found for the attack. Sisco's record as a habitual offender, with prior convictions dating to 1990, factored into the sentence. "Those who choose violence in Montgomery County will be held accountable," said District Attorney Mike Holley.

📚 Conroe ISD is heading into next school year with new leadership at five campuses. At its June 2 board meeting, the district finalized principal hires for Gordon Reed Elementary, Giesinger Elementary, San Jacinto Elementary, Oak Ridge Ninth-Grade Campus, and one additional campus.

The incoming principals bring decades of combined experience across teaching, coaching, diagnostics, and campus leadership - most of them already familiar faces within Conroe ISD. They are expected to be in place when school begins this fall.

⚽ World Cup champion Argentina - led by Lionel Messi - faces Honduras at Kyle Field in College Station tomorrow night at 7 PM as part of the Road to 26 series. It marks just the second international soccer match ever played at the home of the 12th Man, and over 70,000 fans are expected. Pre-game festivities kick off at 1 PM at Aggie Park. For MoCo soccer fans, this one is practically in the backyard. If you're heading down, plan for heavy traffic on Highway 6.

🥖 Potbelly Sandwich Shop is expanding its Greater Houston presence with a new location in The Woodlands. 🏟️ Texas A&M is rolling out the red carpet for one of the biggest sporting events in Kyle Field's history. World Cup champion Argentina - the team Lionel Messi lifted to glory in 2022 - faces Honduras Saturday at 7 PM as part of the Road to 26 pre-World Cup series. The field has already been converted from a baseball diamond to soccer turf, and A&M has been in full preparation mode all week. Over 70,000 fans are expected. The last international match at Kyle Field was Mexico vs. Brazil in 2024, which drew 85,000.

⚾ The Astros are back home tonight for a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics starting at 7:10 PM - and it's Orbit's Birthday night at Daikin Park. Houston comes in at 25-31 but has won 10 of its last 16 games after a rough April. Yordan Alvarez continues to carry the offense, batting .316 with 21 home runs, while the pitching staff dropped the team ERA from 6.08 in April to 3.66 in May. The series continues Saturday at 3:10 PM and Sunday at 1:10 PM.
